Greif acquires 80% of Centurion Container in $145 million deal
Grief is one of the largest individual packing providers in the world. With locations across the United States and around the world they are a powerhouse in the reusable packing industry. Greif Corporation has acquired an 80% stake in Centurion Container. Centurion Container is a US based IBC tote recycler and recondition. They have locations in Illinois, North Carolina, Texas, Iowa, and Tennessee.
Grief previously owned a minority stake of 10% in the company but decided to increase it to 80% in a 145 Million Dollar all cash deal. This will improve Greifs United States IBC tote production and capabilities. Where they will compete in the market with companies such as mauser packaging and SCHÜTZ
